GENERATIONAL MANAGEMENT IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT IN THE WORLD OF WORK, BUT WHY?

Generational diversity in the working environmentRecognising and using opportunities

Effective generation management as the key to an inclusive and productive working environment

Due to the changing working environment and the diverse composition of the workforce, many organisations currently employ people from up to four different generations: Babyboomer, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z.
This diversity of age groups brings with it different perspectives, working styles and communication preferences. Effective generational management aims to understand, value and utilise this diversity to create an inclusive and productive working environment.

Generational diversity in the company: Key aspects for a future-oriented work culture
Work culture and motivation
undefined
Different generations have different expectations of their working environment and motivational factors. Successfully dealing with different generations enables companies to create a positive work culture that promotes employee satisfaction and loyalty.
Innovation capability
undefined
Collaboration between employees from different generations can lead to different perspectives and ideas, which can strengthen a company's ability to innovate. The combination of experience and fresh thinking can lead to creative solutions and new approaches.
Management trainees
undefined
With targeted generation management, talented employees can be identified and promoted at an early stage to ensure smooth succession planning. According to recent studies, over 50% of current employees will leave their companies in the next 10 years due to retirement or early retirement. This gap can be closed in a targeted manner if generation management is successfully established.
Flexibility and adaptability
undefined
The world of work is changing rapidly and different generations can react differently to change. Companies need to be flexible and able to adapt to different working styles and technologies. Successful generation management supports this adaptability and emphasises that it is more important to recognise and accept differences than to want to change everything.

GenerationWHAT?! Board game for intergenerational understanding

Communication and skills development in the working environment

#GenerationWhat?! is a board game that we created for our clients due to the topicality of the subject. The game is designed to bring together managers and key people, including trainers, from a diverse range of generations - from Baby Boomers to Generation Z - to improve communication and understanding of different generations in a working environment.

By integrating different generations, cultures and professional backgrounds, the game promotes reflection and the development of necessary competences for different challenging situations in everyday working life in a simple and intuitive way. GenerationWHAT?! can be flexibly and individually adapted to the specific requirements of an organisation and creates a space for eventful interactions that strengthen team dynamics and promote a positive working environment.
